Hockey is the national game of India. But I’m not sure how many of them even know the fact. Cricket is through the nerves of India. In every street corner we see small children playing cricket. Cricketers are regarded as Gods here. Recently there was even a temple constructed for cricketer Dhoni at his hometown Ranchi.While we give the entire spotlight to cricket there are other games like tennis, carom, football which require our attention to make better success. Only because of this negligence towards other games we are not able to win a single gold medal in Olympics while the other countries bag medals. So cricket is not the only sport in India. It’s high time that we realize this.
